Don't worship the angels , respect the creation

We are are taught ( in the vestiges of Jewish Christian tradition that surrounds us) that we " all made in the image of God; Our society works best when we respect that and dont venerate people in power .
There are times in our society when people in power or position are seen to have power they don't have .When the difference between image and reality is great , one or other party should get nervous . ( see HCandersons story) We are talking here especially about the power that comes with knowledge and wisdom - leaders are often relectant to admit they don't know. Its worse when we think we know when we don't ---- let alone Who to ask .Leaders are supposeed to know and not supposed to amit they don't know ( lucky they read blogs eh!) The best Q for us is always this one, but don't be surprised if an angel worshiper doesn't ask you - they don't.

Tony Jones qanda this week asked the totally unworshipful chief scientist of CSIRO to " come back sometime "but he doesn't do that for people and scientists he disagrees with ( panels mostly polys ) .Point is Tony Jones had missed the obvious - does "rising to the top" mean anything but lightness of touch in some circles ; Chubb was certainly light on last night .

The favourite out for such ignorant gate door control agents is : " gotta move on " when they could ask " more next time " or "follow up here" based on listener survey for eg or as Tony said "come again here " ( the proper job of a reporter is to point to more information MI sources )

Those of us who have tasted the power of politics, technology and sustainable investment influence observe that when the job of public policy is poorly framed ( into the impossible stakes )you often get people who shouldn't be in leadership .Ignornat people moving where angels fear to tread . After all, those of us who really know what's really happening and how things work ( would set a reasonable and workable framework )know that political drivers ( often predjudice, quick fix and desperation ) are often anything but workable ( even quickfix leads to election PTL ). Good leaders know who to trust - bad leaders think they know who those persons/ that person is/ are .

For many of us watching now -its watching mere confidence men moving where angels fear to tread.
This post will be true 10 years from now and 100 years from now
