Focus down not up
The energy of government of the day ( may 09) is in its ambition to do the right thing. The trouble is, the greatest evil is often done by the powerful when their well intentioned actions are based on cowtowering to the gods of their day .
It can be a clear danger sign when our wannabes are in a rush to be welcomed into an international community who at best don't know whats in our best interest and at worst don't even care. Previous PM's have been guilty
Will Rudd be remembered as the Aussie PM who signed, if not the most international agreements, a large number of agreements that are notoriosly meaningless and wasteful (incl ETS)
Will New Labor be remembered for undermining LOCAL authority rather than reinforcing it - they don't do it deliberately of course, but do they do anything deliberately ?
