Greens are happy to be anything others are not?

The  reasons to vote for small parties are obvious enough , but are their practical agendas . Do they move around to much to be treated seriously in the long term game of Realpolitik.
Australian  Labor will not think so as it slides down some expensive incredibility slope that is borne,  like the Greens , to be so heavenly minded as to be no earthly use . Philosophers and ageing old reactionaries take note The left may be  happy to define itself as right of its former self,   but what in the H.... does that mean . http://www.blogger.com/email-post.g?blogID=4028732157614587842&postID=7202834110898478520

Radical or Reactionary

I have used the adjective "reactionary" a lot in relation to Labor party politics of the last 10 years.
Kevin Rudd resists the idea and has said so directly and specifically recently. I think he is wrong and both parties would zoom out of wishy washy land if they found a bit of backbone on radical principles of environmental sustainability , for example.
The Greens, to their credit, have called for economy to go back to its roots to be radical .I am green but not a Green. Saying "we need to be radical" though is totally different from actually being radical . Almost like the very act of creating a party seems to kill it .Maybe small letter l "liberal" too?
Kevin Rudd ( former Australian Prime Minister) wisely chose a real radical to talk about before he got elected . This bloke was taken off the air 8 years before Hitler became Chancellor for talking about the dangers of Hitler's party ideas. Unlike the reactionary behaviour of Prime Minister Chamberlain and Richard Dawkins on questions he seems to want to rule out of order ( nature of evil? ), Bonhoeffer could see where the lie started and how deep. Bonhoeffer was a great teacher and Christian leader whose insights can still keep us from great evil today .

Whatever your faith base ,I hope you stay radical today , even if it is a bit lonely....

When the Fanatical get desperate

They repeat themselves .What worked before surely will work again, they say to themselves .Sure we may need a new angle - to dress up the old in the new . Boy that always tricks the other conservative party and pleases the easily pleased reactionaries in our midst
but what if the new clothes are now the invisible clothes and the careless clothes have real holes .What if we change too often . Labor and their staunch defenders can't work out why their song is no longer being sung . The religious always woory to much about what they are wearing  rather than  in what they are being.
The insiders ( ABCTV) have become outsiders . Well it always was a risk - they,   like Q&Aare  more interested in playing  Machiavellian than playing ball.
People in power are now showing off their desperation   because they have been wearing the old stuff underneath as a badge of honour for years . Nothing better symbolizes this in ABC media than the failure of the potentially  useful show Insiders to recognise  its desperate efforts to shore up the old . The totally over exposed and tired old David Maher waxes lyrical and long and Barrie tries to maintain the rage over statistics as though he knows what he is doing with them - nearly sending us all to sleep or hunting for a switch .  It wouldn't matter who else they had on,  they are always moving on in ways that are quite predictable and  reflective of the birdbath depth of water in which they are often splashing .
Even the occasional child in the audience notices that the new angle on the old is worn to please, but actually  looks and smells just like cheese .  Barrie Cassidy should know that his bright shirts are a giveaway.
